Three dancers. One promise: keep moving.
In 2011, Mwendo Dance Co. was founded by three dancers who wanted the joy of dancing and performing to keep going — for themselves, and for the next generation. The name comes from the Swahili word for motion, and it’s the promise behind everything we do.
Today, Mwendo welcomes dancers ages 3–19 across recreational, competitive and performance-team programs — a challenging, inspiring environment that uses all the motions of everyday life to shape strong, creative young people.
Our love and dedication towards dance, education, community, children, performing and God has carried this company through every season of motion.
